For patients
Your dentist stands behind your work.
If your dental office offers a Dauntless warranty program, here’s what it means for you.
What is a dental warranty?
It’s written protection on certain restorative work your dentist provides. If covered work fails under the terms of your warranty, it can be repaired or replaced as your certificate describes.
Your warranty certificate is the final word on what is covered and for how long, so keep it with your dental records.
| Often covered | Usually not covered |
|---|---|
| Crowns and bridges | Damage from accidents or injury |
| Implant restorations | Work done by another office |
| Veneers and inlays/onlays | Problems from skipped recall visits |
| Other procedures named in your certificate | Normal wear, or cosmetic changes you request |
Keeping your warranty valid
Most programs ask for the same simple things.
1
Keep your checkups
See a dentist for routine cleanings and exams on the schedule your certificate lists.
2
Take care at home
Brush, floss and follow any home-care instructions your dentist gives you.
3
Keep your paperwork
Hold on to your certificate and treatment records in case you ever need them.
If something goes wrong
1
Contact your dentist
Call the office that did the work and explain what happened.
2
Start a claim
Your dentist’s office or the program administrator will guide you through the claim.
3
Get it fixed
If the claim is covered, the repair or replacement is handled as your certificate describes.
Moved away? Many programs let a participating dentist near you handle covered work. Check your certificate or ask your original office.
